Ready for the Big Migration? Roadmap to ICD-10 Compliance for Providers
Wednesday, August 18
12 - 1 p.m. EDT; 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. CDT
The mandated migration from ICD-9 to ICD-10 will explode the number of codes from 17,000 to more than 155,000 and every feed associated with the process must be ironed out by October 1, 2013. Implementing this change will require a significant effort involving technical, operational and clinical staff. A well-defined project plan is critical to success and will increase the speed of adoption as well as minimize the chance of costly omissions or errors.
Join us on Wednesday, August 18 for a complimentary webinar that will outline the approach you need to succeed. In addition, we'll identify several objectives that should be considered as part of your overall success strategy.
Webinar attendees will take away:
- An understanding of compliance dates and milestones to meet those dates
- ICD-10 migration details including:
- Major reasons for changing from ICD-9 to ICD-10
- How the ICD-10 migration will impact your entire organization
- What to expect from your vendors, the gaps that will remain, and the questions you need to ask
- A review of your migration options and a suggested migration approach
- The tools available to decrease the time required for migration
- A demonstration of an automated tool to collapse the time required to establish relationships between ICD-10 data and diagnosis/procedures, as well as to establish relationships to DRGs, SNOMED CT, and other codes
- An outline for your project plan including the type of resources required and when they will need to be deployed
